In order that a legal sentence to death may be obtained, Jeus is led before
Pilate, the Roman Governor of Palestine. Pilate interrogates him but, noting
his innocence and finding he is a Galilean, tries to free him by sending him
to Herod, the son of the one who had ordered the massacre of the Innocents.
