It is the eve of the Passion: Holy Thursday. Having finished the rite of
the Hebrew Passover, in which lamb is eaten with bitter herbs and psalms are
sung, Jesus institutes the Eucharist and the Priesthood.

The chapel was already in existence in the times of Fra Bernardino CaA' (15th
cen.) and was incorporated into the present building in the 18th century. Statues
by an unknown artist (15th cen.). Frescoes by Antonio Orgiazzi (1780).
